The next 5 Gadgets for My Car

I have given you the list of the first five gadgets that I can’t live without. And now, here are my second 5 gadgets that have just recently equipped on my precious car.

The latest gizmo I ever found is the iPod Connection. It’s a generic mini-jack used in connecting all kinds of handheld MP3 players. This added control on my iPod-specific connection allows me to navigate through tracks using my vehicle’s audio system controls. There is just a set of steering-wheel-mounted buttons that would not even dare to let you take your eyes off the road. Famous for this gizmo feature is BMW, Mercedes Benz and Scion. And next in line is Ford, GM and Mazda that have just recently announced the latest feature of their upcoming car makes and models.

One of the best finds I got is the rear parking camera. How does it work? This camera is integrated with rear parking sensors that you would just hear beeping every time you approach an object that have already become fairly common. It is a rear-mounted parking parking camera, commonly featured in Chevrolet Tahoe, Honda Odyssey, Lexus ES 350, and Toyota Sienna. Some of the new cars today have an optional rear-mounted camera with a display a live video picture on the dash-mounted navigation screen. Every time you shift your car into reverse, you can already see exactly what is behind your car. Hence, you tend to lessen the chance of running over something or someone.

Another feature of my precious car is the self-parking capability. Common for this one is the Lexus LS 460, a European version of Toyota Prius. This self-parking feature essentially allows my car to park by itself. All I have to do is to enter a few parameters through a touch screen and that’s the time that my car maneuvers itself into a parallel spot or back into a traditional parking space.

My morning latte always remain nice and toasty especially during the winter season so sometimes when I am having an iced mocha, I can always have it with me chilled and cooling to my taste buds. So what makes me have it? It’s no other than but my car’s heated and/or cooled cupholders. This is famous in a much less expensive Dodge Caliber. So expect that this car’s “chill zone” can always keep drinks stored in its glovebox cool when the air conditioner is functioning. There are other vehicles that offer a small cooler where drinks or food can be kept cold even if without the air conditioning system. An example of this is the Range Rover Sport.

One of the most overlooked technologies in new cars today is what we call as the “Remote Start”. Even the budget-priced cars like the Chevy Malibu can also have it. All you have to do is to press a button on the key fob and your car will beging to function itself. So you can warm up or cool down the interior from the outside of your car every time it idles. This system automatically locks the doors, steering wheel and transmission to prevent thieves from getting in their way inside your car.

Here are my add-ons to my first 5 gadgets that I can’t live without. Sooner or later, I will be hunting for more latest innovative technologies available and I’ll show them all to you. And oh, before I end this gadget post thing, I have been eyeing and wanting on the single integrated computer system to put on my car as it can give me directions, order movie tickets, check sports scores, warn me about traffic light cameras, alert me to do some maintenance needs, control my music, and help me lower my vehicle's emissions. These are just but a few of the many other things that I would love to exist on my car.
