Koenigsegg CCX

Have you ever heard how supercars perform? You probably have not witnessed yet the Koenigsegg CCX, which is known to be environment friendly vehicle. Koenigsegg CCX has a very low and exclusive production volume which makes it hard to consider to have a measurable impact on the problem with carbon dioxide emission. This statement is quite impressing that the small company of Koenigsegg has afford to develop environmental friendly solutions to the world’s number one problem.

Koenigsegg has managed to create a Bio Fuel Powered CCXR that is environmentally friendly with its more spectacular performance compared to standard CCX. In order to meet the standard regulations of the vehicles at the same time take advantage of the market potential in the US, Koenigsegg have refurbished and retooled their CCR supercar into the CCX. This was actually named to honor 10 years since the first prototype saw the light of day, the CCX now meets the strict California emissions limits as well as other tough US safety laws. Providentially, the process had let Koenigsegg to become more improve, and as a result, the CCX comes larger and more refined.

Koenigsegg had actually won Top Gear's coveted test track challenge, but not without infamy. First time around, the Koenigsegg went off the track, swallowing a tire, and was mock for not having enough down force. But Koenigsegg was never turned off by the accident when they repaired and returned the car with a new down force lip to suit Top Gear's presenters. Hence, this effort became meaningful when 1:17.6 was reached, which allows it to beat the Zonda F, Maserati MC12 and Ferrari Enzo.

Despite this, Koenigsegg has faced a major issue. This was conforming to bumper capacity and safety issues while retaining the same basic shape that has claimed the title of the world's fastest 2005 production car. Because of this, Koenigsegg used a new set of body panels that has lengthened the CC, creating more performance and revisions possible. Some of the changes in design include the new front end that uses a scoop for cockpit cooling, the wheel extractors found at the rear of the front arches and the new side rocker panels, which enhances the under tray aerodynamics. At the rear compartment, there is more room made for the exhaust. Hence, there is better ducting that helps the engine maintains a cool temperature. To provide an added flair, the supercharged V8 engine is now using a clear covering. A certain period of time were also used by the Koenigsegg to cast their own V8 that could drink US-grade, 91 octane fuel but still run with the high compression ratio. For the past years, this type of engine was somewhat divisive because it uses a Ford Racing block while being manufactured under the Koenigsegg.

Despite the fact that Koenigsegg has uses regulatory changes, still this is considered as the world’s fastest supercars. Back in 2005, this had won the fastest production when it has reached the 241 mph in the Nardo Track held in Italy. However, when Veyron, Bugatti came in and became popular the CCX went down as the second fastest car.

With the debut of the CCX slated at the Geneva Motor Show, it was assumed that Koenigsegg would get sweet revenge. This is probably because of the modern design it has like the double wishbone suspension, inboard, carbon fibes monocoque, and the supercharged V8 located mid-ship. If you want to experience its great pleasure, this Koenigsegg CCX will be specially ordered, and for 2006, Koenigsegg have added a tasty list of new ingredients. The latest delights include carbon fiber wheels and carbon fiber disc brakes, which can shed about 11 lbs (5 kgs) per corner. Each of the vehicle comes with a storable hard top and long list of equipment.
