Auto Shows

There are hundreds of new cars, SUV’s, and trucks that go on sale every year. And because of the many numbers available in the market, most of us do not know exactly what is the hippest and the finest model that can capture not only your attention rather match your performance taste. So if you want to see all the features of the latest models before it will hit the dealers, you should go check for the annual international auto shows to find all these. These auto shows are held throughout the US and abroad. Car shows allow the manufacturers to showcase all the latest design of vehicles to the automotive press as well as the buying public. Car shows are more than just car fancy stages since these events tend to create buzz for hot new gadgets that often carries over into dealerships months from down the line.

The North American International Auto Show is the official name but is known by most as the Detroit Auto Show. Most people considered it as the most important car show in the entire universe. This is because; Detroit Auto Show is the biggest market. So if you want to create a splash, the Detroit Auto Show is what you should considered to find the car for you. Detroit Auto Show is where you will find the biggest displays and the most debuts, with as many 50 new concept cars and production vehicles being shown for the first time. This is the only good reason why this show is held in the first week of the year.

Every other September, the Frankfurt International Motor Show is also held. This show is considered as the biggest car show in Europe aside from the Paris International Motor Show, which assumes to be the role during Frankfurt's off years. The timing of these auto shows had put them at the start of the auto show season so there are always plenty of new models on hand. You may also expect, German marques dominate Frankfurt's stands, but there are always more than enough international debuts to keep it interesting. Paris has its share of Peugeots and Renaults, but of course, this as well attracts an international crowd.

In Japan, the Tokyo Motor Show comes around every other year in the month of October. Like Frankfurt and Paris, it comes with hometown favorites but often, you will see the latest Hondas and Toyotas as the Tokyo show is known as the home of outrageous concept vehicles that broaden the boundaries of car design.

During spring season, the annual Geneva Motor Show brings the biggest manufacturers as well as the smallest ones. Without the supremacy of a hometown brand, Geneva Motor Show attracts assorted models of production and concept cars. If you are into design, you should not miss the Geneva Motor Show for the season.

Despite the fact that Detroit may grab most of the attention in the U.S., still several other international auto shows in the States that host major debuts. Among these is the Los Angeles International Auto Show, which has shared a January time slot with Detroit for several years now, but in 2006 it was moved to November, which has given it the potential to become the "other" big car show in the U.S. Grabbing such title is not easy as February's Chicago International Auto Show is gaining more attention thanks to a gigantic show floor that can accommodate the most elaborate displays imaginable.

Aside from that, there is also the New York International Auto Show in April. It may have the fewest numbers of people that drive to it, but this do not stop it from capping off the auto show season with huge attendance and plenty of new model debuts.
